Hongmin Chen

Hongmin Chen is full Professor at the Antai College of Economics & Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He got his Ph D degree in management science field at the school. Before that, he studied at the Department of Mathematics, Fudan University and got his bachelor degree there. He studied as a visiting scholar at Sloan School, MIT in 1999-2000 and a post doctoral fellow in the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada as in 1993-94.

His major research fields are industrial organization and technology innovation. He studies mergers and acquisitions in the open economy, exploring the incentives, behavior patterns and social welfare of domestic mergers and international mergers in global economy. Dr Chen is vice dean of the school in charge of graduate programs and the director of the Research Center of Industrial Organization & Technology Innovation at SJTU. He is also the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Management & Systems and editors of many journals of management and economics fields. Dr Chen is not only productive in academic fields, but also active in political and social societies. He is the member of Shanghai’s Committee, the People’s Political Consultant Conference of China and also the member of National Committee of Democratic Construction Party of China.
