Marc Levinson
Author of “The Box”

Marc Levinson is author of The Box: How the Shipping Container Made the World Smaller and the World Economy Bigger. When not writing history, he works as an economist in New York City. He previously had a long career as an economic journalist, serving as finance and economics editor of The Economist in London, as a writer on economics for Newsweek, and as editorial director of The Journal of Commerce. He is the author of three previous books and has written for such publications as Foreign Affairs, Harvard Business Review, and the Financial Times. He lives in New Jersey.
