Cees Ruijgrok

Cees J. Ruijgrok studied econometrics at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Presently he is Professor in Transport and Logistics Management at the Tilburg Institute of Advanced Studies (TIAS) of the Tilburg University, where he holds the position of Academic Director at the Postgraduate Course of Transport and Logistic Services. He teaches also at a regular basis at the EPFL in Lausanne, the EPNC in Paris, the ITMMA course of UFSIA and RUCA in Antwerp and the Cranfield School of Management in the UK.

He is associated as senior consultant at TNO Mobility and Logistics in Delft. He has many years experience in transport research, both in freight and passenger transport and has been involved in many international research activities and research organisations, amongst which OECD, PIARC and WCTR. He is the editor of several scientific journals in the field of transport research. He has been involved in several EU Framework programs and research projects. Since 2006 he is head of TNO Traffic and Transport. He is responsible for the cooperation of all business units of TNO involved in Traffic and Transport.
