Aidan Vining

Aidan R. Vining is the CNABS Professor of Business and Government Relations in the Faculty of Business Administration, Simon Fraser University, Vancouver. He joined the Faculty of Business in 1984. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. He also holds an LL.B (King’s College, London) and an MBA and MPP. He teaches and researches in the areas of public policy, policy analysis and business strategy. Recent articles have appeared in the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, Journal of Management Studies, Industrial and Corporate Change, the Journal of Strategic Management Education, Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences, the Journal of Risk and Insurance, Public Administration Review and Social Science and Medicine, among others. He is the co-author of Policy Analysis; Concepts and Practice (4th. Edition, Pearson Prentice-Hall, 2005) and Cost-Benefit Analysis: Concepts and Practice (2nd. Edition, Pearson Prentice-Hall, 2001.) He edited Building the Future: Issues in Public Infrastructure in Canada (C.D. Howe, 2001) with John Richards.
